The AMMI Canada–CACMID Annual Conference is the premier national meeting in infectious diseases and diagnostic microbiology.

Through the meeting’s interactive sessions and research presentations, the collective interests of students, technologists, and professionals in the areas of diagnostic microbiology, antimicrobial stewardship, pediatric infectious diseases, adult infectious diseases, infection prevention and control, and public health are supported.

The 2020 annual conference was scheduled to take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, from April 29 to May 1. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the face-to-face portion of the conference was cancelled.

Abstracts – Since research dissemination plays such a key role in the conference, alternative methods of presentation were offered to those whose abstracts had been accepted. They were asked to present their work virtually as an electronic poster or as a narrated virtual slide presentation. Those who chose to present virtually were also provided with the opportunity to have their work published in this 2020 AMMI Canada–CACMID Annual Conference Abstract Supplement.
