Position Description

The McGill University Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, invites applications for a full-time Clinician-Educator position as a member of the Contract Academic Staff at the rank of Assistant Professor (Clinical). The successful candidate will be appointed to clinical practice at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) within the Division of Infectious Diseases. If applicable, the successful candidate will also be appointed to the Division of Medical Microbiology in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Medicine. This is a Contract Academic Staff position and does not confer eligibility for tenure.

The Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is a leader in academic medicine. Our educational and research missions support excellence and innovative clinical programs across the network of teaching hospitals. The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) is one of McGill’s major teaching hospitals affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Canada’s internationally renowned McGill University, located in the vibrant and multicultural city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec.

The Division of Infectious Diseases at the MUHC comprises a mix of medical doctors and scientists with a strong research focus—which range from molecules, to patients, and populations. The Division also provides excellent service across the MUHC hospital sites and contributes to teaching at the undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels, as well as supporting continuing medical education.
