World Rabies Day

September 28, 2021

World Rabies Day is the first and only global day of action and awareness for rabies prevention. It is an opportunity to unite as a community – helping individuals, NGOs and governments to connect and share their work.

September 28th 2021 will be the 15th World Rabies Day.

Participating in World Rabies Day is a great way of making and sharing progress towards the elimination of rabies deaths by 2030 – become part of the global World Rabies Day community today.

Make sure your country is represented on World Rabies Day! Watch out for the announcements for the 2021 World Rabies Day theme in April 2021. As soon as the theme is out, be sure to register your event so that it appears on the map above and add your voice to thousands of others who are working to raise awareness about rabies around the world!

We have partnered with IVSA to launch a Rabies Campaign Competition for IVSA members, where the grand prize winner will be announced on World Rabies Day. Read more about the competition.

As always, to help you plan and promote your 2021 event, we will develop a host of different resources to help make planning your event as easy as possible. These will include themed World Rabies Day logos and many other resources to help make your event a success!
