Locum Position - Pediatric Infectious Diseases
Dalhousie University/IWK Health Centre, Halifax, NS, CanadaThe Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Pediatrics, at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Medicine and the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia is seeking a locum tenens Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist for all or part of a 4-month block (with possible extension) commencing July 2023. The locum could be structured as part-time for the entire period or full-time for shorter periods.
The successful physician will join a team of four academic pediatric ID physicians and an infectious disease pharmacist. The physician will provide care for both inpatients and outpatients as appropriate, as well as take call, and be expected to interact with and provide clinical teaching to undergraduate medical students and residents/fellows who are assigned to or interact clinically with the division. The position will be based at CCfV’s facilities in the IWK Health Centre, the tertiary care pediatric and women’s hospital for the Maritime provinces.
Academic qualifications include a MD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university with completed recognized specialty training and certification in Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases (or equivalent). Eligibility for medical licensure in Nova Scotia is required.
