Executive Medical Director, Infection Prevention and Control
Fraser Health - Surrey, BCFraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.9 million people in 20 diverse communities from Burnaby to Fraser Canyon within the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish and Nlaka’pamux Nations, which is home to six Métis Chartered Communities.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Medical Director (EMD), Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) to join our population health team. As an exemplary leader, the successful candidate will bring a strong voice and influence in engaging with staff and physicians, while developing clinical IPC standards and integrating evidence based IPC practice into clinical processes, advising on complex IPC issues, investigating and controlling outbreaks of infectious diseases, participating in research and assisting with the development and interpretation of surveillance data.
Reporting to the Vice President, Population Public Health & Chief Medical Health Officer, the EMD, IPC will recognize the importance of collaboration with operational leaders, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that IPC programs and actions align with the strategic plans and priorities of Fraser Health (FH), ensuring their compliance with and understanding of infection control standards. The next ED, IPC will value a commitment to consultation and the integrity of Fraser Health’s IPC programs.
