MICROBIOLOGIST/INFECTIOLOGIST
Centre intégré de santé et services sociaux, or integrated health and social services centre- Gatineau, QCThe CISSS (Centre intégré de santé et services sociaux, or integrated health and social services centre) de l’Outaouais is actively recruiting bilingual infectiologists and/or microbiologist-infectiologists to fill positions at its Hull and Gatineau facilities.
In addition to general medical and surgical services, our Hull and Gatineau hospitals hold specific missions and mandates. The Hull Hospital, with its 265-beds, also holds specific missions in traumatology, nephrology, neurosurgery, cardiology and regional intensive care. The Gatineau hospital, with its 243 beds, houses our regional Optilab service as well as being the home of our regional maternal-child and psychiatry missions, and our cancer center. Our four peripheral hospitals complete the hospital service offer in the Outaouais region.
A regional hospital with more than 600 beds was the subject of a government announcement in 2021 and with it, brings the construction and arrival of a new modern and attractive academic center, associated with McGill University. Academic opportunities in teaching and research are already available within the CISSSO and within McGill University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences’ Campus Outaouais in Gatineau.
The population of the Outaouais region is more than 400,000 inhabitants. The Ottawa/Gatineau urban region, along the Ottawa River and bordering Ontario, has more than 1.5 million inhabitants, offering you a dynamic living environment and a wide variety of services and entertainment. The proximity to wide-open spaces, in particular Gatineau Park, is highly attractive to those that chose to come and settle with us.
If you are interested in joining our dynamic practice and diverse living environment, we invite you to contact us to discuss in more depth and we would like to offer you on site visits within our facilities and region.
