Infectious Diseases

Joseph Brant Hospital - burlington, ON

JBH has a 24 bed ICU with dialysis in the ICU, a Cancer Centre, robust specialty back-up services and excellent access to diagnostic imaging services, including CT, MRI and extended hours for ultrasound. Our Infectious Diseases division is supported by the Regional Microbiology Laboratory, Infection Prevention and Control Team and an ID/ASP Pharmacist. 

Our innovative and rapidly expanding hospital-based outpatient practice provides care through an Infectious Diseases Clinic for complex infectious diseases. The clinic provides consultative services for infections of the blood, heart, bone, post-operative infections, tropical diseases and infections in children. 

JBH is a clinical education campus of McMaster University. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute as a clinician-teacher at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

Candidates must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada with an FRCPC Certificate of Competency in Infectious Diseases and registration with (or eligibility for) the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is required. 

Established physicians and graduating residents are both encouraged to apply.
